RTI's T2-C, RK-3 and T4 Honored as 2006 RESI Awards Finalists

Residential Systems Magazine recognizes RTI for offering the industry's most innovative home control solutions

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN –August 11, 2006 –Remote Technologies Inc. (RTI), innovator in home entertainment control technology, announced today that their newest controller, the T2-C Universal Controller and their state of the art T4 Universal Controller have been selected as finalists in the 2006 RESI Awards in the Touchscreen or Handheld Remote Control System category, and the RK3 was named as a finalist in the Wall Keypad Controllers category. The RESI awards are presented by Residential Systems magazine and honor the most innovative products in the residential custom installation industry.

The T2-C is a compact full-color LCD touchscreen controller which also incorporates an optimal assortment of fully programmable hard buttons. Its thin, light, ergonomic design makes it easy to operate one-handed – even for users with smaller hands The T2-C features with a large 2.8-inch full-color TFT LCD display, with full VGA resolution for displaying crisp and clear text, graphics and animation. MSRP is $799 and it will be introduced at CEDIA, Booth # 314.

The T4 features a touch-sensitive, 6.4” full VGA, active color TFT LCD with a graphics-based user interface (GUI) that makes operating it simple and intuitive. Its open architecture platform allows full integration and control over even the most advanced audio/video components as well as readily allowing for future changes or additions to the system. The full VGA resolution displays motion JPEG video with great detail, as well as custom buttons, graphics, and animations. The T4 also features a built-in web browser and WiFi, allowing access to the Internet and control of all IP addressable devices. The T4’s 400MHz, 32-bit processor is powerful enough to simultaneously execute all commands smoothly and instantly, including complex macros. The T4 is available exclusively through custom installers and carries an MSRP of $2,499.00.

The RK3 In-Wall Universal Controller features a 3.5” color LCD touchpanel that is small enough to subtly integrate with any room’s décor, yet is detailed enough to crisply and clearly display text, graphics, and animations. In addition to its bright, high-contrast color touchscreen, the RK3 features nine hard buttons, which can be programmed for any command, or assigned macro command strings. A 200MHz, 32-bit Xscale processor ensures each command is delivered instantly, even when the controller is performing several operations at once. The controller is available exclusively through custom installers, with an MSRP of $999.00.

All three controllers are programmable via RTI’s benchmark TheaterTouch Designer™ software. This Window’s based application brings drag-and-drop simplicity to programming, allowing for ultra-fast set-up, customization and upgrades.
